Montana blues…

Danish Montana takes on a flirt with their own history, using colouring from 1983 presented in a breathtaking natural setting in the north of Norway. In pure white.. to shades of midnight blue, the Montana shelf system is as much up to date as ever.

When Peter J Lassen started Montana in 1974 he had a vision of a functional shelf system of industrial origins. Inspired by his collaboration with Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton and Jörgen Utzon, Peter J Lassen embarked on an impressing development process. In 1982 he took Montana to the Cologne fair and an international audience. At that time Montana had a turnover of DKK 1 million and a staff of two. The rest is design history.
Environmental and safety concerns has always been top priority for Montana and figure into the company’s strategic considerations, on equal footing with design, quality, technology and cost.
The switch to water-based surface lacquer in 2007 was an important contribution to better indoor climate. And, a better climate over all.
