The House Story

Writing a so called house-story is a challenge. Text and pics must blend together into a portrait of someones most beloved home. It takes passion and commitment ”to make a home out of a house” and the people we visit have made that effort. We always feel privileged to be invited into a private home, and trusted with the task to capture its feel.

In the north of Sweden, in Hälsingland county, the owners of Växbo Lin, Jacob and Hanna Bruce with family, spend their holidays in a Swedish ”sportstuga” – a small, simple summer dwelling common in Sweden from the early 20th century, and even more from 1938 when Swede’s got the right to annual leave. The sculptural scandi lamp

The sculptural white lamp never goes out of fashion. It blends easily into any scandi interior and is a good example of visual sustainability.

The fine audience

We´re travelling Gotland, shooting beautiful houses & homes. Gotland is a Swedish island located in the Baltic Sea. The landscape is vast and lovely and you can admire ancient as well as contemporary architecture. We visit the very old… and the very new. We’re invited to experience amazingly beautiful houses built from stone, wood, glass, concrete…
And as it happens we´ve got an ever present, very kind and curious audience.

Sweet fragrance and sweet Mokkasin

With a planting bag made of environmental friendly, breathable polypropylene you can use your basket from Korbo Handmade Wire Baskets for planting indoors. Here I filled it with white hyacinths and protected the bulbs with a cover of soft green moss. This picture was part of a photo session for Korbo which took place at Sofia Janssons beautiful home in Katrineholm, a small town in the countryside south of Stockholm. From there Sofia runs the webshop Little Cute Mokkasin, as well as her sweet Mokkasin blog.
